Homer J. Herrick, a Key West native, graduated from KWHS in 1952 and holds a B.S. degree from Stetson University and a M.Ed. degree from the University of Florida. He taught mostly Biology and Marine Science at KWHS, retiring from teaching after 31 years. He served as president FKAS for 3 years and has been an active member for over 20 years. Never much of a "birder" Homer says he found Audubon's environmental conservation ethos a compelling reason to become and continue to be supportive.
